About me...

I have always loved movement, dance being my first passion. I began Pilates while training at vocational Ballet School in the highlands of Scotland. I instantly knew I loved it. It was a way to give back to my body and mind after such intense ballet training, I could feel my body thanking me. Unfortunately, while I was dancing professionally, I suffered a complicated injury that lead to many years of physio therapy. After trying many rehabilitation techniques, missing out on so many opportunities and years of training, I decided to begin regular Pilates reformer classes. Pilates gave me my love of movement again. I experienced the incredible power of Pilates to heal and give back to the body and mind and my injury was finally able to recover. I love to be able to help people enjoy movement and understand their bodies in a new way, building strength in mind and body. Just you, the mat and the breath.

"It's the mind itself which shapes the body", "Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness, in order to achieve happiness it is imperative to gain mastery of your body." - Joseph Pilates.

I trained in London with BASI Pilates (Body Arts and Science International), as a fully comprehensive Pilates instructor. I feel very lucky to have been educated by top Pilates science lecturers from around the world. I have specialised in Pilates for Hypermobility, Pilates for the Aging Population (with Rael Isacowitz) and Pilates for Dancers.

I am passionate about anatomy of movement, alignment and helping everybody to really understand how their body moves to get the most from each exercise. Pilates is a mind body technique and is as difficult as your level of understanding. The more knowledge and awareness of your body you have and how to deeply connect your muscles, the more challenging you will find the exercises. Even the most advanced Pilates body should find the most basic fundermental exercises, challenging.
