Reconnect to wilder landscapes as we celebrate the season's embrace on an invigorating journey!

With Pilates, learning the Wim Hof method & the science of cold, wild swimming in the river Avon and the perfect warming Sauna on the river bank. Embracing the power of the cold and finding solace in the warmth of the sauna, cocooned in comfort amidst the landscape.

We are so lucky to have Corin joining us for this retreat to offer the Wim Hof method & the power of cold. Corin, an experienced Wim Hof method instructor, will lead us through breath work and understanding how we can harness the power of cold to benefit both body and mind. We will cold plunge and wild swim in the beautiful river Avon - this is completely up to you if you do/don’t want to swim - before enjoying the beautiful sauna waiting for us on the river bank.

We will have 2 Pilates classes in the drawing room, Wim Hof ‘Power of cold’ talk, breath work, cold plunge + swimming in the river Avon & Sauna on the river bank, a 2 course mezze lunch in the north wing and a tour of the ancient woodland and grounds at Hale Park in the New Forest.  A day to reconnect to nature, replenish mind, body and soul and return to life feeling refreshed

(No obligation to Swim, if you prefer, you can enjoy the Sauna and views over the fields and river bank. Swimmers must be confident, not suitable for new swimmers.)

Timetable Of The Day:

9am-9.30am Welcome! Coffee, teas and fruit platters. 9.30am-11am Pilates class with Harri in the Drawing Room 11am-11.20am Smoothies, juice shots, teas, coffees, nourishing snack bars and fruit. A moment to relax and take in the peaceful landscape surrounding us. 11.20am-11.50am Wim Hof Method Talk: "The Power Of Cold" with Corin Ridout in the Drawing Room 11.50am-12.30pm Wim Hof Method Meditative Breath work with Corin Ridout in the Drawing Room 12.30pm Change and get ready for swim/plunge/sauna. We will walk down to the river, just a couple of mins minute down the hill. 12.45pm-2pm At the river (optional, you can head back to the house whenever you feel finished) Corin will lead us through an optional ice bath plunge. You may choose to swim in the river guided by Harri. Corin will lead us through a warm up method before we hop into the sauna. You may decide to go between the river and the sauna, enjoying hot and cold therapy. Whenever you have finished, we will wrap up in something warm and head back up the hill to get changed. 2.15pm-3.30pm Delicious warming lunch prepared for us by our talented cook, Ellie. Enjoying seasonal local produce with herbs and vegetables grown in Ellie's garden. 3.30pm-4pm Time to relax and enjoy being in nature as you explore the grounds of Hale Park in your own time. 4.15pm-5pm Sound Bath Mediation in the Drawing Room. Blissfull relaxation as we are guided through beautiful sound healing. Tibetan bowl, crystal bowl, rain stick sound bath. Deeply restorative to leave you feeling peaceful and replensihed.

What To Bring: (mats will be provided)

  • Wear warm comfortable clothes to move in for the Pilates class.
  • Swim wear and rash vest (if you have one)
  • Swim shoes to wear in the river and field
  • A warm hat to wear while we swim/plunge and to walk back up to the house afterwards.
  • Head, feet and hands are most important to keep warm. Warm socks and gloves to put on afterwards is a good idea.
  • Towels
  • Something warm to walk back up to the house in after our swim: e.g big towels, a dry robe if you have one or a warm coat
  • Warm comfortable clothes to wear after swimming
  • Suitable footwear for walking around the estate - we may encounter mud!
  • A blanket for the breath work - some will be provided, this is optional to help you get comfortable.
